Drumming for Bubny

October 2015

October 16, 2015 annually commemorates the day of the first Jewish transport set out from Prague in 1941. The survivors and their families meet regularly at a bronze relief by Helga Hošková at the Parkhotel.

The Memorial of Silence team is preparing for this occasion a major public event, which will take place in the railway station area, under the statue of the Gate of Infinity.

The event will be open for everyone who is not indifferent to the fact that Prague lost 50,000 of its citizens, who perished, and that by the deportations of Prague Jews and by the expulsion of the Prague Germans the city lost its traditional identity … and especially that the transports took place while the city kept silent. Drumming for Bubny will be a meeting for all those who want to actively express their attitude to the silent majority. For more information see our website, Facebook, Twitter and HitHit.
