There was a great turnout for the naming of Sir Nicholas Winton Street, which was attended by supporters of the Memorial of Silence, honourable guests, survivors of the events of the war at Bubny Railway Station from the Terezin Initiative, several of „Winton’s Children“ and even Winton’s grandchildren, i.e., descendants of the children who were rescued on the so-called kindertransports.
The Mayor of Prague 7 drummed to the unveiling of a living street (the street sign) accompanied by children from Syria from families of asylum seekers settled here in Prague today.
