For the ninth year in a row, the Memorial of Silence commemorated the departure of the first Jewish transport from Prague.
Joining us on stage were Israel’s ambassador to the Czech Republic Anna Azari and survivor Eva Erbenová. There were excellent musical performances by a big band composed of student from the Gymnázium a hudební škola Praha and by the Libor Šmoldas NYC Jazz Trio. As in past years, the event was organized with help from students of the Přírodní Škola secondary school.
Thank you to all who were not put off by the cold weather and the construction going on around this place of memory and came to join us in drumming against the silent majority.
The event was held under the auspices of the Embassy of the State of Israel.
